Tour Description:
Charter your own private longtail boat for 6 hours, starting from Koh Phi Phi Don. Six hours is considered to be a full day tour around the Phi Phi Islands, and it's the recommended tour length for those who want to ‘see it all’. This full day, private longtail boat tour follows a fixed route and includes stops in Koh Phi Phi Leh, Koh Phi Phi Don, and Bamboo Island too! You have the option to make this a guided tour, which we recommend. But for those on a budget, our longtail boat captains will be pleased to show you around the islands. It will only be you and your group on this private boat tour.
Important: This tour visits both the north and south of the Phi Phi Islands (Bamboo & Phi Phi Leh). We will plan the best tour route based on the sea condition on your tour date. It is not possible for guests to plan the order of the stop by themselves as this requires extensive local knowledge and there are many factors which must be accounted for. Guests are able to decide how much time you would like to spend in each place and make reasonable alterations to the tour route such as spending more time snorkelling, longer time on Maya Bay or Bamboo Island, or skipping the Monkey Beach. The role of the boat captain is to drive the boat and ensure your safety. We recommend taking this tour with a guide who will be able to communicate with you in English and explain about the places you are visiting, the boat captain will not be able to speak English other than very basic phrases. National Park Fees are not included and must be paid in cash during the tour. Not all locations are accessible on all days due to the nature of the Phi Phi Islands. This tour uses a regular longtail boat and it is not a luxury boat. Bamboo Island is not always accessible on days and for safety reasons we will not be able to visit Bamboo Island if the wave height is a safety concern.
Tour times may vary slightly depending on the season, pickup times may or may not be factored into the advertised schedule and can vary based on your accommodation's location. The exact tour times will be confirmed via messaging app one day before the tour.
Do You Need a Tour Guide?
🚨 Longtail Boat Captains cannot speak English. Guided tours offer the best experience with a knowledgeable, licensed English-speaking guide who can provide detailed information about the sights. Unguided tours are more budget-friendly but are operated by local boat captains who can only speak very basic English, and will not be able to provide information about the places you visit.
Meeting Info:
Phi Phi Don: The meeting point for this tour is on Koh Phi Phi Don, near Tonsai Pier in town. The exact meeting point and time will be confirmed one day before the tour. If you stay in a resort outside of the town, please do not book this tour as you may not be able to check-in. Make sure your accommodation is within walking distance of Tonsai Pier before making a reservation. You can contact us if you are unsure. Please do not book if you are staying in Phuket or Krabi.

This tour will visit islands and beaches located within Thailands Noppharat Thara Mu Koh Phi Phi National Marine Park. Non-Thai citizens must pay an admission fee of 400 Thai Baht per adult and 200 Baht per child. This fee, set by the Thai government, is not included in the tour cost and must be paid in cash during the tour. The places we visit are dynamic. All published times, routes, and schedules are approximate and subject to change without prior notice due to seasonal factors, weather conditions, sea conditions, and tides.
Start the day bright and early with a 6:30 am start time. The Phi Phi Islands are much quieter at the this time, so you'll have a chance to 'beat the crowds' before larger group tours arrive from Phuket.
The morning tour is still somewhat quiet, although the Phi Phi are a popular destination and it can start to get busier later on in the morning. We'll do our best to avoid crowds where possible.
Choose a later start time, just after midday and spend the entire afternoon on the water until the sunset, return to Koh Phi Phi Don after watching the sunset at sea, from the boat. *The exact sunset time can vary depending on the season.
This tour time starts at half past one, and we spend the entire afternoon cruising the islands, snorkeling and taking in the beauty of Koh Phi Phi. We watch a sunset from the boat, and once its completely dark we have the opportunity to night swim with the Glowing Plankton too! *We cannot guarantee you will see plankton.

You can cancel shared tours for free up to 24 hours before midnight of the tour date, and private tours for free up to 48 hours before. Cancellations are accepted for any reason. Outside of this time frame, full payment is required, and no refunds will be given, even for sickness or missed connections. It's recommended to have travel insurance for these situations.

All our tours are considered outdoor activities and do not get cancelled due to rain. Tours will be cancelled only if sea conditions, wave heights, or sea swell are deemed as unsafe by the National Parks Departments. If the tour is operating as normal but you choose to cancel outside of the agreable period then no refunds will be issued.

The minimum age to partake in any of our tours is three (3) years old. Our tours are not suitable for infants. The maximum age is seventy years old. Those aged between sixty and seventy must have their own travel insurance. All travellers must be in good physical health. Pregnant individuals, those with heart or back problems, are not permitted to book any tours - no exceptions. Travellers with disabilities needing assistance should contact us before booking to ensure suitability.
Travel Insurance:
All tours sold by Phi Phi Island Tours Company include standard accident insurance as required by Thai Law. The provided insurance meets all legal requirements, although coverage is limited to catastrophic events. It does not protect against personal injuries, damage to personal belongings, or cancellations due to illness. We strongly recomend that travellers obtain their own travel insurance for additional coverage. Safety Wing Thailand is our recommended providor, allowing coverage to be purchased even during a trip.

We ask that travellers keep an open mind when booking tours in this region, it's important to understand that some things are out of our control. We cannot control the weather, if you're travelling in the rainy season; rain is expected. We cannot control the animals, there is no guarantee you will see Reef Sharks, Turtles, Monkeys, Glowing Plankton or any other creature. We cannot control other people; our tours visit popular destinations and crows are expected, especially during the peak season months. We cannot control the tides or the ocean, and on occasion some locations will be inaccessible.
Maya Bay
During this tour, we may visit Maya Bay in the National Park. The beach access to Maya Bay can be closed without notice, especially in August and September, but it can happen on any day. Unfortunately, we have no control over this, so refunds will not be given if Maya Bay is closed. If the beach access is closed, we can still see the beach from the boat but cannot disembark.
Pileh Lagoon
This tour visits Pilleh Lagoon, when possible. The Lagoon is only accessible when the tide is high enough to enter. During low tides, the entrance is sealed off and boats cannot access it.
